CORE Foundation Research Proposal Submitted to Institutional Review Boards
Austin, TX - The CORE Foundation research team has submitted the necessary documentation to four Institutional Review Boards (IRB) this past week in order to initiate a first of its kind brain imaging research study. Institutional or Independent Review Boards are the ethical review panels that are designated to approve and monitor research involving humans, with special consideration to the rights and safety of individuals. The Foundation anticipates full IRB approval by the end of February 2009. Upon approval, the research team will aggressively seek to raise private donations in order to initiate the trials in March and April of 2009. At that time, a public announcement will be made regarding the scope of the research.
